On this day

Previous reports: Arsenal 1 Watford 0, 25/09/99, Watford 8 Sunderland 0, 25/09/82
Saint of the Day: Saint Finnbar was an illegitimate son who brought shame on his royal mother, but became the shiny-haired pride and joy of a group of hermits who adopted him and renamed him "white hair". In his youth it was claimed he scared off a serpent as big as a hill and built a monastery on the site of what is now Cork. He was able to make hazelnuts grow at will and when he died the sun didn't set for two weeks.

Further information

Nicholas Ralph's Numbers - Game 10: After all these years (about 400) we still can't agree globally on what a decimal point is (a full stop or a comma?) or where to put it (on the line, or half way up the numerals). Pathetic.
Lucky animal: The elephant hawk moth. (Is there an hawk moth elephant too? Or an moth elephant hawk?)
Unlucky food: Unusual flavours of yoghurt, like hazelnut, banana or carrot. It ain't broke, so don't fix it.
The BSaD Interview: Throughout the 2004-05 Season BSaD are interviewing eminent ex-Hornets for the matchday programme. The Interviewee in Saturday's programme is Les Taylor.
